I Just Bought Another Book That I Probably Won’t Read — How To Create Reading Habits
Will I ever read a book?
Those who read my articles regularly know that I love to buy books — I’m addicted to taking a lot of books home when I’m in a bookstore. But, I don’t read them.
And I did it again.
Last weekend, I visited a bookstore with my girlfriend and my sister (Sanne) and she bought some horror books and I saw a book that immediately got my attention — it had a pretty cover, and it was discounted.
The book is called Pax Romana.
This book is basically a collection of stories about the peaceful time of the Roman Empire under the lead of emperors Caesar, Augustus and Aurelius.
Author, Adrian Goldsworthy goes over several events in the history of the Roman Empire, from the creation and foundations of it to the battles and conquests that expanded the empire — but most and foremost: the peaceful time.
This may well be a book that very much interests me, but I tend to never read it anyway.
Do you recognize this?
