The latest news tells us that the US has killed the al Qaeda leader Ayman Al Zawahiri. He was killed on July 31 after intensive action by U.S. security forces.

After killing previous leader Osama bin Laden, Ayman al-Zawahiri became the successor to the terrorist organization.

“Now, justice has been delivered and this terrorist leader is no more,” Biden said. “People around the world no longer need to fear the vicious and determined killer.”

“The United States continues to demonstrate our resolve and our capacity to defend the American people against those who seek to do us harm,” the president continued. “We make it clear again tonight that, no matter how long it takes, no matter where you hide, if you are a threat to our people, the United States will find you and take you out.”

This is one of the few moments where Republicans and Democrats agree about an action of the US President. Terrorism is not negotiable in the United States of America.

Zawahiri was the one who took charge of al Qaeda after the death of Osama bin Laden and wrote a number of manifestos about wanting and needing to kill the enemy in the West.
