Almost everyone knows about China’s immense oppression of Taiwan. Despite being granted independent status in the 1980s.

Nancy Pelosi, speaker of the House is also visiting Taiwan during her tour of Asia, despite warnings from US Officials. It would not be wise to visit the oppressed country as an American.

The Chinese are also warning America. They want Pelosi to skip Taiwan on her tour. This is because China believes that Taiwan belongs to the People’s Republic of China, so is not independent.

Sources report that Pelosi is determined to go through, despite serious concerns among the security services of both Taiwan and the United States.

The Biden Administration would try to convince Pelosi not to go, also because China might use the military to further repress the Taiwanese people. The relationship between the US and China is not particularly good.

“China will take resolute and strong measures to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity. As for what measures exactly we will take, let’s wait and see if she dares making the visit,” as spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry said about the possibility of Pelosi going to Taiwan.
