The Sickening Debate Culture of the 21st Century Explained

Can we go back to the drawing board and talk to each other?

--

I hate debating in 2022.

There’s literally no debate anymore. People are only screaming their one-liners and refuse to listen to the counterarguments if there are any.

It’s sickening.

This happens on the left and the right, we don’t need to pretend it’s on one side of the political spectrum.

But to be honest, we don’t care anymore.

Let’s talk about a real-world example: The Vice Presidential Debate in 2020 between former Vice President Mike Pence versus current Vice President Kamala Harris.

What do you remember of it?

The biggest highlight of the debate was that fly landing on Mike Pences’ hair.

Not so surprising that the internet took over and created a bunch of memes over this moment in perhaps one of the most critical debates of the year.

Including Joe Biden himself.
